Last Sovererign hasn’t really been supported so far today drifting out past Priti Fabolous in the markets, Kipchak is showing signs of strength but I would watch this one to see if it starts getting backed rather than just jumping on immediately. Cut and Thrust drifting and Sunshine always not doing much could work in our favour here

Results – Kipchack went off at and SP of 6.08 so a few ticks on that one, it also won the race

• The Place Backs
  

1. 16:35 Fontwell – Gaspara – 2.62
2. 14:50 Kempton – Turf Time – 2.28
3. 15:35 Fontwell – Souffleur – 1.93

Gaspara has been picking up pace all morning and looks to be a strong contender for this race, a field of 14 so 3 places makes me happy about taking this on at a decent price for its chances. Turf Time is getting momentum in the 14:50 and should take a place. Souffleur isa looking good for a place as I cant see past Qozak as the winner for this one, the 1.6 on Qozak to place doesn’t really thrill me, so I’m plumping for Suffleur at the bigger price

Result – Gaspara was pulled from the races as a non runner, Turf Time came in to finish in 2nd place behind Posy Fossil. Souffleur also finished 2nd at Fontwell.

• The Place Lays

1. 14:50 Kempton Roybouy – 2.6
2. 15:20 Kempton – State General – 1.96

Roybouy doesn’t really have too much going for it in the markets despite the early prices, and has drifted since then. Ideally I would like a shorter price to take this but I beleive that we will be fine with that. State General

doesn’t seem to be on anyones Xmas card list and I’m comfortable with the 1.96 that I took.

Results – Roybouy ran a cracking race, but unfortunatly for us we were on the other side. It happens you get losing bets or even a string of losing bets. The important thing is to keep on going and not lose track of the overall picture. State General came in 6th in its race a full 10 lengths behind
